Adrive is in my opinion the one of the best file storage website out there. It gives you 50GB of free online storage. You can upload up to 200 files at once with an upload limit of 2GB. It uses a handy Java applet and works with Linux, Mac and Windows. When you go to the Adrive website you will see a big green ad saying 50GB free trial, don't let this bother you. It is a free trial of there PLUS service but the basic service is still 50GB as described above.
The basic service is available for free and allows users to upload files of up to 2048MB Free users cannot download files larger than 1 GB however. Free registered users are offered 200 GB of total file storage. Premium users have unlimited file storage. After a successful file upload, the user is given a unique URL which allows others to download the file.
Any file uploaded anonymously will expire if there are no downloads for at least 21 days. For free registered accounts, the expiration period is 90 days. Premium accounts have no expiration period as long as the user remains a premium member.
Users must fill a text-based CAPCHA when downloading a file. Non-registered users have to wait 45 seconds in the download queue and a certain amount of time between transfers after a certain number of megabytes had been downloaded. Registered users have to wait 25 seconds in the download queue.
Note that even paying members do not get a direct hotlink for non-paying members to download. Non-members trying to download an uploaded file are forced to MegaUpload's site and have to wait 45 seconds to initiate a download.
1.Mediafire offer UNLIMITED FREE file storage. The service allows users to upload files of up to 200 Mb each for free and 10 Gb for paid subscribers. The user is then supplied with a unique URL, which locates the file and enables anyone who knows it to download the file. Uploaded files will be stored as long as the user logs-in into his/her account at least once every 60 days or at least one of the files is downloaded every 30 days. Furthermore, images can be uploaded and displayed in galleries.Features of MediaFire include unlimited storage and a limit of 200MB per file (10GB for Pro users). MediaFire does not enforce waiting times for downloads, require CAPTCHAs, limit simultaneous downloading, or set bandwidth limits. However, it does require cookies to be enabled.
In August 2008, the service began offering a MediaFire Pro ("MediaPro") service that added more features and removes some limitations. Pro users can upload encrypted ZIP or RAR archives, remote upload files, and browse the website without ads.
